Ukrainian man notices box on the side of the road with little puppies inside

Olena Pyanov, Ukrainian woman, is running a YouTube channel called Love Furry Friends, where she films the process of rescue of stray and rejected animals. Recently she’s come across a heartrending case. She was called by a good samaritan who reported having found 2 abandoned puppies in a cardboard box.

Olena rushed to save the puppies. They have been abandoned for an unknown period of time and looked a little frightened in the video. As soon as Olena opens a tin of puppy food for them in her car the little babies chow down with a lot of gusto! Obviously, they had not eaten in a while. Then she takes them to the vet to see if they are healthy.

She found out that the babies were only 3 weeks old! So they needed to be fed warm milk every 2-3 hours.

The puppies were male and female. Olena named them Gerda for the female and Totoshka for the male!

Totoshka and Gerda are not the first puppies Olena has rescued and certainly will not be the last ones either! Olena has been doing this for years.

Since the war broke out in Ukraine people have started to flee the country, abandoning their pets sometimes. And that is where Olena comes in, making sure the pets are taken care of!

Olena is doing everything by herself. From finding the animals to taking them to the vet and helping with treatment. She has also helped by the generous donations of her benefactors.

Olena is inspiring. And she’s earned lot of appreciation for her did! What a hero!
