A woman «childishly talks» to a frightened puppy and receives a token of gratitude in return

When 7-week-old Layla was picked up by animal care, she was shy and nervous. Her young tiny body had already been through so much.
Rachel the vet noticed how stressed the puppy was. All Rachel wanted was to comfort her. Rachel went a little further. Talking to Layla in «baby talk,» Layla flashed a smile that could melt even the darkest hearts.

Luckily, Rachel had her phone handy and recorded the entire meeting. Layla’s change in behavior showed the world how much it means for a frightened puppy like her to be treated well. Her tail wagging and smile are epic!

When Layla was old enough and recovered, she could be adopted. Of course, since Layla’s video was posted (and circulated) on social media, she’s received a lot of submissions. But the perfect couple Nicole Toni and her husband, who have already rescued several dogs and cats, proved to be the right fit.

As the veterinary hospital suspected, Tony and Layla’s family hit it off immediately. One of their rescue dogs, Lady, was especially attached to Layla and the two quickly became friends. The couple explained that Lady gave birth right before she was rescued, so they think Layla reminded Lady of her children.

Layla is just one of MANY shelter animals in desperate need of a home. Although she got hers happily ever after, many are still waiting for theirs.
