Dying lion found true love
This is Kahn, a male lion and Sheila, a beautiful white llioness.
They both were in captivity. Then they were recsued by Texas’ In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center.
Kahn was in bad condition caused by undernourishment.
“Nevertheless, he was very friendly and it was quite easy to treat him. The lioness, on the contrary, was almost dead,” said Vicky Keahey, the rescue’s founder.

When the lioness was rescued she was only 15 mos old.
She was very helpless that she couldn’t stand on her own, best she could do was lay there and constantly throw up.
The USDA even advised to euthanize Sheila, but fortunately the rescuers were not ready to lose hope.
It took the 2 animals about 2 weeks to feel better.
It was definitely love at first sight.
The rescuers came to a decision to give them the chance to ‘date’ for about 3 mos.
Then they were allowed to spend the night togehter. After 3 mos they finally got married.
