Albino Baby Elephant Trapped for Days Is So Happy It’s Finally Safe

A helpless baby elephant has been rescued after it was reportedly trapped for four days. The poor little creature was found entangled near a national park in Africa. Unfortunately, the trap left deep wounds on the face and ears of the baby elephant, but according to her rescuers, she will make a full recovery.

Fortunately, the volunteers of the Animal Center, an orphanage for elephants, found the baby in time. The baby elephant, whom the rescuers named Khanisa, is special. The pigmentation of her skin is not gray, like any other elephant, but pink.

“She looked so innocent, fragile and pure, and at the same time so brave – a unique beauty who was [wounded] by human hands,” Sue said. «We knew we had to help her, protect her and give her a safe place that she would never have to endure again.»

Photos of the rescued elephant show how happy she is that she is finally safe. And despite everything she’s been through, Hanisa has proven she’s so brave. “ elephant is an exceptionally strong and courageous baby elephant,” she said. She is incredibly resilient. Her sweet, fragile and thoughtful personality shines through her toughness despite everything she’s been through.»

The Animal Center is «a wildlife facility dedicated to the conservation and sustainability of rare, vulnerable and endangered species.» The site was originally «created as a cheetah breeding project, but has evolved into a wildlife conservation center,» according to the elephant orphanage’s official website.
