This is a good-natured older dog who knows that loving others is a reward.
And it shows.

Bailey was only a few years old when her owners, Arthur, and his family, rescued her. Before that, she was used as a breeding dog — she probably gave birth to litter after litter of babies, whom she forced to part with.
at 17, Bailey has proven that she is still a mother at heart. And now her loyalty allows her to shine.
It all started a few months ago when she and her family moved into a country house.

Shortly after moving in, Bailey’s family became suspicious that a feral cat was living in the ravine behind the house. They left the food, but they didn’t see anyone. In the meantime, their dog was also doing outreach work.
“Bailey often went to the backyard to check on them,” Arthur said.

What Bailey had in mind was not entirely clear. But one day her family looked out the window and saw this:

There, on the porch, sat Bailey.
But she was not alone.

A feral kitten was leaning against Bailey’s warm body, safe in the company of his unusual new friend.
“Bailey had never been friends with wild animals before,” Arthur said. “It just shows how loving she is. She has always been very nice.»

Seeing that their dog had succeeded in gaining the trust of a skittish kitten, the Bailey family decided to follow suit. They also welcomed the little cat into their hearts.
In the family, she was called Kitten-Kitten.

“Kitten Kitten now lives inside with everyone,” Arthur said. “She follows Bailey almost like a puppy. It’s safe to say that now she is part of the family!”
And, perhaps, for the first time in her life, Bailey was able not only to become a mother but also to remain a mother forever.

«Kitten-Kitten loves to be inside and interact with everyone, but especially Bailey,» Arthur said.
At 17, Bailey was finally able to fulfill her calling as a mom. And, in the end, her love for a wild cat turned out to be saving.

With the cold weather approaching, the new Kitten-Kitten family believes that she would have been fighting for survival much longer if Bailey had not intervened to save her. But in this act of kindness, they both got a second chance.
And both their hearts were healed.
“They are very happy,” Arthur said.
