Donkey abandoned by mother finds new loving family in shelter

This little animal’s life was easy, right after she was refused by her mother, right after she was born. But, luckily, he was not alone. The baby overcame the situation when she found a new loving mother and was surrounded by care.

Ben’s mother was expectant when he arrived at the donkey’s shelter. With just a few months left to give birth, the baby named Milie was not ready to be a mother. Unfortunately, despite the staff’s efforts, she rejected her baby shortly after birth.

«The mare and her calf have not been together and have not shown any signs of the bonding process that normally occurs,» the shelter wrote. “We carefully tried to persuade her to accept him, but this young and inexperienced mother simply did not want to let the foal near her — it was clear that she abandoned him.”

The chances of surviving without a mother are extremely slim for the newborn animal, and Bee was nothing short of the same. But the dedicated people in the foster family tried their best to keep the tiny foal alive, and in the end, they succeeded. They bottle feed him at 3-4 o’clock and spend a lot of time with him, making him feel comfortable and loved. But even so, tiny Ben needed someone by his side every second to keep him warm and protected, and only a mother can do that.

Due to the absence of his mother, Benny met Jingle, another donkey in the sanctuary. To everyone’s surprise, they soon became inseparable. Everyone was happy to see that Ben had finally found a loving mother. After all, he’s been through, he deserves it.
