This amazing story of survival could be a great plot of a film.

In 1997 a huge earthquake happened in China. And the biggest blow fell on the mine. As a result of the disaster 118 workers died.And after a pointless search of survivors, the government decided to end the finding process and the mine was shelved.

After years the area was bought and the staff began to work on its construction. They got shocked finding an emaciated, weak and dirty man there. It was one of the former workers of the mine Chung Wai.

He was the only one who remained alive after the terrible day and was literally buried alive. He tried to find a way out for these years byt it was all in vain as there had to be a special equipment to break the surface. The man survive there due to an emergency supply of water and a tiny hole which was a source of air. He was eating rats and moss growing on the walls. Chung didn’t give up and knew that he would be saved from this nightmare. He endured this horrible condition believing that the help would come soon.

The rescued man couldn’t belive that his torturing life in the closed mine lasted for 17 years. He had lost his sense of time. The doctors stated that his state was stable and not so crucial. But emotionally he was suffered a lot and he needed a long treatment by the psychiatsrists to return him to a common life.
