Some blind people who are candidates for eye surgery can regain their sight. Even better is that animals, not just humans, can regain their sight, too! This is evidenced by the joyful reaction of this happy Irish terrier who has regained his sight.

Duffy, the lovable Irish terrier who was rescued, had repeatedly experienced health problems. He had been diagnosed with diabetes, which eventually led to vision loss. With medication, Duffy’s diabetes was cured, but he was no longer the same without vision.

Fortunately, Duffy had surgery to restore his sight. This was great news for this very sweet boy. Duffy’s family did not hesitate to sign Duffy up for surgery. The treatment and surgery took place at the Veterinary Reference Center in Malvern, PA.

The amazing video shows Duffy coming out of surgery and seeing his people for the first time in months.

In fact, he’s so ecstatic that he even starts making quiet, shrill sobs as a personal way of expressing happiness. It’s just incredibly moving, and it’s a pleasure to watch.»

Dr. Kevin Kamrow, the vet who helped Duffy cure his diabetes. Once the dog was stabilized for surgery, Dr. Brady Beale operated on him. Together, the 2 doctors gave the dog another opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life.
